商標登録料値下げか

商標権の登録料、更新登録料の値下げ、今夏にも行われる予定。

特許庁は企業などが商標を取ったり維持したりするのにかかる費用を大幅に引き下げる方針を固めた。今夏にも登録料を25％程度引き下げ、登録から10年後にかかる更新料も20％程度下げる。新興国などで日本企業のブランドと類似した名称が使われる被害が多い。登録費用を軽くして国内外での商標取得を促し、知的財産保護につなげる。(２月５日付日本経済新聞より。）
